Family Camping
Another illustrated story for Dada ABC. These illustrations accompany a story called “Family Camping”, which was a reboot of sorts of an older story in the program. The client wanted a more modern approach that could appeal to kids with an affinity for cartoons on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network.
Included below are initial concept pieces I generated before creating the final art. Much like developing an animated piece, I created storyboards for the story to help make the feedback loop between myself and the client smoother. I also created a model sheet of the family to define the look and feel of the characters, and establish a consistency across the images. And again, the model sheet was a great way to receive by-in from the client before creating the final art.
