Automatic Fields “Casualties of Our Daydreams”
"Casualties of Our Daydreams" unearths a series of lost melodies that blur into technicolor static. The first recorded music I've released in almost a year, and the first full album in two years, this new collection of sounds from my Automatic Fields monicker is a return to explorations of Plunderphonics and collage music. No longer tied to the Shoegaze genre exactly, "Casualties of Our Daydreams" explores more expansive sonic terrain.
Inspired in part by Jon Hassell's work with Brian Eno on the "Fourth World” albums, as well as composers like Steve Reich and Ryuichi Sakamoto, I recorded "Casualties of Our Daydreams" in frenetic burst of creative energy.
